Night Hike

On the 11th of June in the dark of night, with the frost settling on the ground, the Venturers were dropped in the back of Dick Smiths Property. They were given a map with some coordinates for where they were, and another set of coordinates for where the first checkpoint was to be. They had to locate themselves and navigate in the dark to the first point where they would have to find another map.

Locating themselves on the map and working out where to go, and which route to take.

At the first checkpoint, the terrain gets harder and the path not as clear. It is now up to bush bashing down a creek to get to the end point.

Stopping to have a look at a (approx 1915) hut that has been restored by Dick Smith.
